Will help resale value of older cars I reckon. Luckily it doesn’t include bikes, yet.

Oh, and I doubt we’ll miss out if we leave - manufacturers wont miss it off UK models, we’ll get the EU version as we do now.

Perfect idea we should be doing it sooner, the technology exists today to stop speeding why am I paying the NHS and others millions to keep some dick head alive who wants to use the road as a race track plus all the innocent people injured by knobs who think personal freedom equals the ability to drive / ride like a cunt, lets not forget the environmental damage the motor vehicle is doing to our planet, I would honestly clamp down on vehicles open the road to walkers, runners & cyclists they do no harm are fit and healthy don’t fill hospitals with overweight Sick people who I am agsin paying to keep alive

Not to controversial hopefully

In case people missed it your Brexit via Mrs May = the UK now takes all the rules has no say in them but can do it’s own trade  deals with the 3rd world LMAO guess what the first thing every single 3rd world country wants in the deal ...... open boarders

Are you above the law Bez what gives you me or anyone the right to break the law, middle age men riding round on bikes or in cars breaking the speed limit and racing each other puts them in the same category as some kid on a stolen scooter, scum

I did it (used the road as a track not pinched scooters lol) and looking back I was a knob

The question IS.... have any of you tried one of these things?

Remember my Focus that popped??

That had all that EU shite on it....

The theory is fine, in reality... utter bollocks.

Lane keeping.... doesn’t work, it is dangerous. It relies on cameras and sensors ..... the quality of our roads and white lines are so poor, the car would veer off line so badly, it would try to go to the outer lane markers.
The result is you have to physically pull against the direction you don’t want to go in. Then you over correct. Very very dangerous.

Speed sign recognition.... several times you would see a speed limit sign appear on the dash, 80, 90, 100 and 120.... eventually it was found to be the signs on foreign vehicles, coaches or trucks...

Autonomous braking..... never went off on my car, but a friend has it on his Skoda, it goes off randomly.

The tech is shite.

I will go so far as to say.... I’m buying a new car just before this tech comes in, sell my old one at a huge profit....

The sooner these fuckwits in Brussels get booted out of our Little Rock.

Doc you are such a dinosaur, vehicles today are nothing like 10, 20 or 30 years ago you can’t halt advancement ABS was once new it’s now standard, so many features now were new at some point, we are holding a conversation on a small pocket sized device that 10 years ago was beyond imagination, would you rather do this via pen paper and post.

The question is should vehicle speed be limited the answer must be yes, the public road isn’t the place for bravado take it to the track, to many accidents due to speed nothing wrong with enjoying the open road but it must be done in a responsible way.

My outlook has definitely changed Lefty in every way not just physically but emotionally  mentally & socially i have replaced hate with love, anger with empathy it can be controversial but hey it’s incredible

Pffft! pffft! Dinosaur?...Dinosaur?....

All I can say is Boeing.....

The 737 Max 7&8 is typical of AI gone wrong.... Airbus have a similar approach to limiting flight dynamic profiles.

If you’ve not driven a car equipped with such tech, I do recommend it. A simple test drive is no where near long enough to experience such intrusions......

Distracting and bloody frustrating..... you hear a bing for positive matters, bongs for warnings.... and this is the rub.... you have to take your eyes off the road to see what the bloody thing is telling you.

The BM I have now, has none of this shit on it. And it’s all the better for it.

It may have changed Chris, but for the better .... I'd say not, you may be fit now but you're a shadow of what you were. You're one dimensional, only focused on swimming, jogging, cycling and the like. Will you live longer because of your regime, I'd wager some of the fat cunts you deride as gammon will outlast you, ultimately you're getting in the ground like the rest of us and that's a fact. And just for the record I pay my own taxes, you don't support my health care.
Where's the old Chris gone, he was a great bloke. This one's just an opinionated twat.

This isn’t AI that’s computing that has the ability to learn, this is quite simply limited use of existing Tec that can be used to stop speeding that’s it nothing more, the reality is time moves on st every stage of human evolution we take 2 steps forward sometimes 1 back, unless you live in a bubble then everything will develop medication health care transportation communication , what is it about change that frightens you ?

Do you live in a cave ? come on Doc embrace the future

The fact is Lefty I do what I do for me not for you or anyone else, I enjoy what I do it’s a rich mix of social and personal activities based on helping others, I live a life based on love not hate that obviously isn’t how you set your compass and appears to annoy you, how long anyone has left is something of a lottery who knows what’s round the corner all I am doing by living a healthy lifestyle is stacking odds in my favour, I don’t want to be 65 and fecked, lets hope we all live a long and healthy life.

The cost of looking after a crippled individual runs into millions the cost of treating type 2 diabetes runs into millions much more than you and me have ever paid into the system, if you have put 40 years of national insurance in then that’s not going to cover a week in hospital, it’s everyone else who picks up the bill

Opinionated yep I guess so I will take that on the chin but that’s a complement coming from you LOL

My vans got a 70mph limiter on it and the sooner I get the ECU to the mapper it’s a goner ... you overtake and even with a “this vechile is limited to 70mph” before your half last the bloke doing 67 he speeds up and some knob in an Audi has a fixation with attaching themselves to the toe ball !!!

Spot on there Doc..... I'm currently driving a 3 year old Scania 440, semi automatic without the quirky gadgets and gizmos that the newer generation of heavy trucks have and I'm bloody glad it hasn't !!

This craze for an autonomous system in society is only going to succeed in lobotomising every demented twat who thinks they can drive into believing they can.... The standard of driving in this country is downright fuckin appalling. Controlling is not the answer !! Education is the key.... People pass their driving test with the minimum of skills needed to be on the road and absolute zero road skills, it's at this point that more education is needed, be it practical or visual to instill and ingrain more knowledge for these clowns...

It doesn't need to be forced upon us.... it should be a CHOICE !!

If you only do what you do for you that's great, thing is nobody else gives a toss and isn't interested in your jogging over mountains, swimming down the nile etc. As impressive as it maybe and I tip my hat to your drive It used to just be full of fun and piss take on here, now it's the come jogging you gammon twats site.
Maybe the extreme fitness regime chats best for joggers nipple or whatever it calls itself.
Opinionated, yes I am..... But at least I'll voice my opinion.

Or... you pull out to let the cock join the carriageway and they match your speed and some other knob is up your ass.... generally it’s some company car driving yob, in a hurry to shag their PA.

All this heavenly utopia is a load of bollocks.

The education theory is interesting ChipPan, but unfortunately, the more you educate the gammon, the more they think... the more they think, the more they want...but the less they will comply.
This is probably why the prisons are filling up so quickly....

These supposedly enlightened cocks in their company cars, having left university, benefitting from a socialistic education, drive like utter cunts.... and they are the ones stipulating these crippling laws.

The Orwellian vision of 1984 has blended with Animal Farm...
